GenK (“the App”) is provided by NOERDEN, located at 31 Cours Albert 1er, 75008 Paris, France (“we”, “our”, or “us”).

 

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use the GenK mobile application.

GenK allows users to use the App anonymously by default.

You may optionally create or link an account using:

  • Sign in with Apple

  • Google Sign-In

If you choose to create a profile, we may collect:

  • Avatar (optional)

  • Authentication identifier provided by Apple or Google

We do not require real names.

1.2 Learning and Usage Data

To provide the learning experience, we store:

  • Learning history

  • Quiz responses and results

  • Progress and streaks

  • Selected topics or interests

  • App interaction data (feature usage, session duration)

This data allows us to personalize your experience and improve the App.

1.3 Analytics and Diagnostics Data

We use third-party services to understand usage patterns and improve reliability:

  • Firebase Analytics

  • Firebase Crashlytics

  • Amplitude

  • AppsFlyer

  • Adjust

  • RevenueCat (for subscription management)

These services may collect:

  • Device information

  • App usage statistics

  • Crash reports

  • Subscription status

This data is used solely to operate, maintain, and improve the App.

1.4 Notifications

If you enable push notifications, we may store:

  • Notification tokens

  • Notification preferences

  • Interaction with notifications

Notifications are optional and can be disabled at any time in your device settings.

2. Artificial Intelligence and Content Generation

GenK uses artificial intelligence to generate quizzes and learning content.

AI technologies used may include:

  • Google Gemini AI

  • Apple Foundation Models (on-device)

We do not send personal user information to AI providers.

AI processing focuses on learning content and topic data rather than personal identity.

3. Payments and Subscriptions

All purchases and subscriptions are handled exclusively through Apple’s in-app purchase system.

We do not store payment information such as credit card numbers.

Apple may process payment data according to its own Privacy Policy.

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, we process data based on:

  • Performance of a contract (providing the App)

  • Legitimate interests (improving product experience)

  • User consent (notifications, analytics where required)

5. Data Retention

We retain your data only as long as necessary to:

  • Provide the App

  • Maintain your learning history

  • Fulfill legal obligations

If you delete your account, associated personal data is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable timeframe.
