Refund Policy
Last updated: 1 May 2026
GenK (“the App”) is provided by NOERDEN, located at 31 Cours Albert 1er, 75008 Paris, France (“we”, “our”, or “us”).
Web subscriptions are sold through Paddle.com Market Limited, which acts as our Merchant of Record for all online transactions on genk.app, get.genk.app and auth.genk.app — Paddle processes payments, charges applicable taxes, issues invoices, and handles refunds on our behalf. Paddle's own terms and privacy policy are available at paddle.com.
This Refund Policy is part of, and should be read together with, our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
1. Scope
This policy applies to subscriptions and one-off purchases made on genk.app or its subdomains (the "Web purchases"). It does not apply to subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store inside the GenK iOS app — those are handled exclusively by Apple (see Section 6).
2. 14-day money-back guarantee
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on all new Web purchases. If GenK Premium is not what you expected, request a full refund within 14 days of your initial payment, no questions asked.
The guarantee covers:
-
The first payment of a new monthly or annual subscription.
-
One-off purchases that have not been substantially used.
The guarantee does not cover:
-
Renewal payments after a subscription has automatically renewed. To avoid being charged for a renewal, cancel before the renewal date (see Section 5).
-
Purchases marked non-refundable at checkout (e.g. promotional bundles, time-limited offers).
-
Accounts that show a pattern of repeated refund requests across multiple purchases, which we may treat as abuse and refuse at our discretion.
3. EU / UK consumer rights
If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction granting a statutory right of withdrawal for distance contracts, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a contract for digital content.
By starting your GenK Premium subscription and accessing premium features immediately, you expressly request immediate performance of the contract and acknowledge that you lose your statutory right of withdrawal once the digital service has been fully supplied during that 14-day period (Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU and equivalent national implementations).
The 14-day money-back guarantee in Section 2 is offered voluntarily and goes beyond what the law requires of us.
4. How to request a refund
Email support@genk.app with:
-
The email address used at checkout.
-
The Paddle order or transaction ID (visible in the receipt Paddle sent you).
-
Optionally, a brief reason — purely for our own improvement, never required.
We will acknowledge within 2 business days and forward your request to Paddle. Refunds typically reach the original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer. Currency-conversion fees charged by your bank, if any, are outside our control.
5. Cancellation vs refund
These are different actions:
-
Cancel: stops your subscription from renewing. You keep access until the end of the current billing period. Cancellation is free, available at any time, and does not in itself entitle you to a refund. Use the manage subscription link in any Paddle receipt, or email us.
-
Refund: returns the amount you paid. Access to GenK Premium ends immediately when the refund is issued.
6. Apple App Store purchases
If you subscribed through the iOS app, Apple is the merchant and we cannot process or approve a refund on your behalf. Submit your refund request directly to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple decides the outcome under its own policies.
7. Chargebacks
If you initiate a chargeback with your bank or card network without first contacting us, we reserve the right to suspend your account pending resolution. We strongly prefer to handle refund requests directly — it is faster for you and avoids dispute fees on our side.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated by email to active subscribers and will not apply retroactively to purchases already made.
